The DSC-512X PLUS camera may not look extraordinary, but it has a 7-megapixel CCD with 3x optical zoom. The display is a 2-inch colour TFT LCD. There’s no viewfinder, so shooting in bright sunlight is somewhat difficult. Inbuilt memory is only 32 MB but thankfully, an SD/MMC card slot is provided. The camera supports the PictBridge interface. The photos we clicked were crisp, and the colour vivid. Video shooting is supported. The inbuilt flash is good enough even for pitch-dark conditions. Tech-Com has also provided four games with the camera, and the software package includes Ulead Photo Explorer 8 SE. The bottom-line—a decent buy!
