A12.1-inch screen with a wide viewing angle, 802.11 b/g, standard 10/100 LAN, PCMCIA Type II slot, a DVD-Writer, and an MMC/SD card are the goodies here. With a 1.73 GHz Pentium Mobile 740J processor supported by 512 MB of DDR RAM and a 60 GB hard disk, the N211U logged above-average CPU and memory benchmark scores. The GMA 900 video card can handle only moderate gaming. The kill-joy is the extremely badly-designed touchpad. It’s hard to even move the cursor around the desktop! Thankfully, the keyboard feel was satisfactory. The battery lasted only 116 minutes of continuous DVD movie playback—a big let-down.
